• Academic & Professional: Educational qualifications, resume/CV, skills, work experience.
• Account Data: Username, password (hashed), profile photo, role (student / employer / college).
• Transaction Data: Subscription plan, payment history (processed by Razorpay — we do not store card details).
• Usage Data: Pages visited, jobs applied to, login timestamps, IP address, device/browser type.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account on the platform.
• To match students with relevant internship opportunities.
• To send transactional emails (application updates, OTP verification, invoices).
• To process payments through our payment partner Razorpay.
• To improve platform features using anonymised analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) on the following bases:

• Consent: You provide consent at registration by accepting our Terms & Conditions.
• Contract Performance: Processing necessary to deliver the services you have subscribed to.
• Legal Obligation: Where required by applicable Indian law.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Employers / Colleges: Your profile is visible to employers or colleges you apply to or are affiliated with.
• Payment Processor: Razorpay Pvt. Ltd. processes payments. Their privacy policy governs data they collect.
• Email Service Provider: Used solely to deliver transactional emails on our behalf.
• Legal Authorities: Where required by law, court order, or governmental authority in India.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. On account deletion, personal data is purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for 7 years under Indian tax law).

6. Your Rights Under DPDPA 2023

As a Data Principal under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of personal data processed by us.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Erase your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Withdraw consent at any time (this may affect your ability to use the platform).
• Nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
• File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
